Dear Foo,
I have a degree in English Literature from a local university and am looking for an institution that will help me to be a better educator. I understand that you have taken up CELTA & TESOL courses. Mind sharing with me how and where did you pursue these courses?
I tried to e-mail you but your contact does not seem to appear.

Regards

Hello Shark,
It is good to know that you are very concern with your level of mastery. Rest assure that quality is not a destiny but rather a journey itself. One way to master your English is to get involve with teaching. Peculiar it might be but reality shows a mark improvement once you start teaching to others especially friends, neighbours, relatives and others. Studies have shown a distinct relationship between reading texts and writing performances. Hence, a big wieghtage towards reading in MUET. I would advise that you start keeping journal and force yourself to write anything even gibberish at least 10 minutes a day and later you will see the differences. Nothing is perfect at one go, that's why we have process writing and proof readers. Tq

Salam Hakim,

Interview will not be that hard. Apart looking at your fluency and diction, interviewers will look at your maturity level and physical outlook (meaning how you dress). Questions will normally revolve around what you know about TESL and teaching profession. Normally, it is your promptness to answer and sincerity. Finding out about UiTM, TESL and teaching profession are your bonus point. Tq.

Erm.. I'm afraid you got the wrong impression abt MARA scholarship.Right now, MARA is really low on budget so, it's gonna be hard. You would be really gd and also one of the best if you're selected to go overseas sponsored by MARA. Now with more than over 40 MRSMs ard Malaysia, the competition would be really tough. Moreover, MARA prefer to offer scholarship to students who would like to take up Engineering, Accounting and Medicines. And to qualify you would have to at least have 8As in your SPM.

i am undergraduate tesl student and i found that even though we are going to teach in school really soon but frankly speaking our language still not that good. the students must individually make an effort about their language to perform well in their career. I keep thinking what is this happen..

I'm no graduate from any university or anything, but back on those days, I do face such problems like yours. Self-assured is the main key, built the confidence within yourself first, trust in your ability. If you're all wobbly inside, whatever method is useless. Perhaps, you should practice writing, and start reading more books/magz, for instance readers' digesst. Its a good one,to actually enrich your vocab and to expose yourself to good sentence structures
